Shieldaig Lodge is a recently refurbished Victorian hunting lodge set in a 26,000 acre estate amongst stunning scenery of the West Highlands nestled next to Shieldaig Bay. Situated a short distance from the Highland village of Gairloch, the hotel retains the warm and welcoming atmosphere of its original 19th century origins.

Recently refurbished, we have cosy snugs with real log fires, games room as well as perfectly manicured gardens and magnificent waterside views. Furthermore, The Liberator Bar is home to over 250 award winning whiskies and over 110 world class gins, including every Scottish gin!
We are conveniently located 1 hour, 30 minutes from Inverness Airport.
Beautifully restored and quietly sophisticated, each of our 12 boutique bedrooms is furnished with antiques and cosy touches, all with your comfort in mind.
Our bedrooms are all individual, but they share some common traits, namely: 400 thread Egyptian cotton sheets, synthetic duvets, sumptuous pillows, excellent mattresses, handmade shortbread from our own kitchen, and Scottish styling.
Every time you stay we include a full Scottish breakfast plus a choice of pastries, cereals and fruit, yoghurts, tea and coffee. Vegetarian options are available, including our much-loved vegetarian haggis!
We have WiFi available in the hotel, but it is as you might expect in a wonderfully remote location... it may not be as fast or reliable as you are used to at home. Shieldaig Lodge is, and will always be, a fantastic destination to escape to.

Our restaurant offers stunning panoramic Highland views overlooking the picturesque Shieldaig bay where boats nestle and seals frolic.
The Shieldaig Estate has one of the finest larders. Rare breed lamb, Highland cattle and its own deer herd can be found on the Estate. Crab, lobster, langoustine, oysters and scallops are caught by hand right in front of the hotel. Salmon is locally smoked. We have recently renovated our walled garden and have reinstated a vegetable garden, allowing for fresh produce to grow just on our doorstep. Head Chef, Jerome Prodanu's menus change daily and is based on what is fresh in the larder that day.
