A warm welcome awaits you in the beautiful surroundings of this, Argyll’s only ancient Castle with bed & breakfast facilities, built in 1609 by “Black” Duncan Campbell and restored in 1897 by Sir Duncan Campbell 3rd Baronet of Barcaldine.
Barcaldine Castle offers something truly beautiful. A Scottish Castle set on the shores of Loch Creran with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains of Glencoe in early Spring to the golden colours of Autumn.
At Barcaldine Castle, we take pleasure in ensuring you have a memorable stay with us. Whether you want to experience the great outdoors, walk the shores of Loch Crenan, play a round or two of golf, or simply watch the world go by – there is something for everyone.
All five rooms are elegant, opulent and romantic, each with rich and luxurious fabrics to create a traditional look and a deeply relaxing, romantic ambience. No two rooms are identical in size, shape or aspect but all have en-suite facilities. The views from all our rooms are breathtakingly restricted only by the size of the windows. The dramatic landscapes and colours are constantly changing according to the weather and the seasons.
Each room has a luxurious king-size bed with either loch views or views of the open countryside to the front of the castle. FREE WiFi available, together with a good selection of games, books & magazines.
We offer tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary water, mini hospitality hamper, bathrobe, slippers and hairdryer. Luxury toiletries provided by Arran Aromatics.
